Orange County NORML (OC NORML) is a chapter of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws. Founded in 2003 Orange County NORML is a 501(c)3 federally approved non profit organization dedicated to education. Our mission is to educate the public about alternatives to our current war on drugs, specifically marijuana.Â
Orange County NORML holds three monthly meetings, sends speakers to city council meetings, assists students and journalists in research, and educates the public through informational booths and a weekly podcast, Hempradio.Â
The Orange County NORML General meeting is every third Friday of the month. At this meeting we discuss current state and federal legislation, news, conduct regular non profit business, plan future events, hear from special guest speakers and send cards to marijuana POW’s.Â
The Orange County NORML Business and Industry Committee meets every third Wednesday of the month. This group is focused towards those in the medical cannabis industry or interested in getting involved at this level. This meeting hosts speakers to cover topics that will be necessary when applying for a state license and to assist in operations. At this meeting we also encourage group discussion so that those in our industry can share best practices.Â
Our Senior Orange County NORML group meets in Laguna Woods every last Wednesday of the month. At these meetings seniors host speakers, watch movies and plan events. If you would like to get more information about this meeting please email Barbara at srocnorml@gmail.com
